1 | What does a social media platform make money from? What is the difference between getting attention and paying attention?
It sells the attention of users. We get it for them. Whenever we post others will pay attention. 2 | What is the difference between getting attention and paying attention? Getting attention is like getting addicted to other things. "Once I get "x" amount of followers then I will feel good. Paying attention is paying attention to a single thing and not get distracted with anything else. "I try not to see other creative people as competitors, I try to see them as collaborators" - that one guy on the ted talk we watched today 3 | Can you become addicted to getting attention?, if so, how, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being not at all and 10 being totally consumed) where do you fall in terms of being addicted to attention and do you think it's a healthy number, why? Yes you can, I have had sort of relatable thing happen to me. I posted a couple of videos that went semi viral and after that I kind of just threw out random clips after without having a second thought about what I was posting. I think on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it around a 8 for being pretty consumed. As of right now I don't really want attention. I think I would fall around a 1. just trying to stay low rn 1 thing that inspired me from the video is when he said that designers have more power than ever in todays world.
